You could have added to your article the path followed by Philippe Saisse (he attended Berklee in the 80s).

He and drummer Simon Phillips (Toto) and bassist Pino Palladino (John Mayer, The Who) have formed a new ensemble Phillips . Saisse . Palladino a.ka.a PSP.

To introduce the band to their respective fans, Phillips, Saisse and Palladino are giving away free exclusive tracks through GetJuke, a new music platform. http://getjuke.com/psp

And for these tracks, they have enrolled some famous composers : after &quot;Bela (Bartok)&#039;s Boogie&quot;, &quot;Allegreto&quot;, their rendition of Beethoven 7th Symphony  2nd Movement sounds like a hit-song.
